Who said annual reports need to be clinical? When the nature of your existence is to provide happiness and joy, shouldn’t your reports inspire the same? In addition to spreading good news, in 2020, I pivoting from the traditional annual report to a printed document that would inspire hope in a time of uncertainty. The piece included the standard figures, budget analysis, and 24-pages of stories of inspiration from the lives of the staff. Those stories worked in unison to tell a story of perseverance, commitment, and hope. After reading this piece, it would have been impossible to deny SEASPAR commitment to it’s residents. The 2019-2020 annual report was mailed to residents in conjunction with an annual appeal.
SEASPAR’s 2019-2020 Annual Report was awarded 1st place in the category of Printed Marketing Piece at the 2021 IPRA’s Agency Showcase, an annual design competition judged by industry professionals. The content was praised for its dynamic shifts in page style, layout choices, impactfull imagery, and story telling process.
